TO MY BELOVED BROTHER REV. REINALDO E. TORRES GINARD
I wish I could be in Tampa with all of you today to honor Reinaldo. But,
as we all know, sometimes events in life beyond your control completely
change your plans. Due to an accident on Friday and a resulting sprained
ankle, today I will be with you spiritually though not physically. I am
truly honored to deliver this message to you on behalf of our family.
Saying farewell to someone you love so dearly as I love Reinaldo has been
very difficult. I say I love Reinaldo because to me he is and, will
always be, alive in my heart. When I started to write this lines, I
started to cry. I guess that executing this reflection exercise made me
realize that, from now on, life without him will be different on the
physical and material dimension. However, the love between the two of us
will never die. He will always be near me and with me at the spiritual
level.
Thinking about Reinaldo since he passed away, many memories during this
past week have been crossing my mind like passing clouds in a pleasant
summer night. I have seen his pleasant face, heard his soft and musical
voice, felt his warm hugs and kisses and cherished a lifetime of wonderful
experiences together. I will like to share with you some of those
experiences and also some of Reinaldo's qualities that always gained my
admiration and respect for him.
Reinaldo and I were born from the same father, but different mothers. He
was 19 years old when I was born. My first memories about him go back to
my early childhood, when he would come to visit me regularly to my
hometown. Even when he used to live in Venezuela for 20 years, he would
not miss one year where he would not visit me. Reinaldo always
transmitted to me optimism, positive energy and excitement about life.
Since I remember him, he was the most pleasant person I could ever know:
always friendly, relaxed and with a great sense of humor. He was always
proud of me and so happy to know about my achievements, as much as I was
proud of learning about his. He was not just my older brother, but my
experienced friend and hero, full of anecdotes and lessons about life
waiting to be shared with me. He consistently accompanied me thorough
life in one way or another. It was not something about being physically
close. In fact, most of our lives we were far away from each other. That
makes me reaffirm myself at this moment that the power and energy of love
is eternal and unlimited in its many forms and transcends physical
boundaries. For the gift of that lesson, I will always be grateful.
Reinaldo proved to be an excellent son. He always took wonderful care of
our father Eustoquio and his mother Margarita. He gave me the best of the
examples. Even though the health problems and limitations that he
experienced, he was always there at the difficult moments to help and
support them at their older age. More recently, during his mother
Margarita's changing health needs over the last 10 years, he was always
there for her, making sure that all her medical, physical and emotional
needs were met. Reinaldo, I thank you for the lesson you gave us on the
love and support that all human beings should have for their parents. For
not forgetting your parents when they needed you most, I will never forget
you and will always be proud of you.
Reinaldo also accepted the challenges of life with courage and
enthusiasm. When he was on his early forties, I observed him making a big
"U" turn in his life trajectory. After a long standing and successful
career as a marketing manager, where he enjoyed economic and financial
stability, he took a new and different route. From there on, he dedicated
the rest of his life to understanding and promoting physical and spiritual
healing in people's lives. His passion and personal pleasure became
helping others to achieve their optimal spiritual and physical well being,
as well as their self-realization in harmony with nature and the
universe. Those of you that are here today have been witnesses of
Reinaldo's work. For your dedication and commitment in life to something
else and more important than just money, I thank you on behalf of all of
those persons that benefitted from your service.
Reinaldo, your journey to a new dimension reminds me not only of our
father but also of my mother. I hope that on your new ascending
transformation toward a better life our father and my mother Aída, who
loved you like the son you were for her, were waiting for you on this new
journey.
Last but not least, I want to express Reinaldo's wife Diana my most
sincere love and deepest admiration and appreciation. We will never
forget your endless love and sincere dedication to Reinaldo's well being.
He was very fortunate to have you in his life. On behalf of our family,
we want to express our deepest appreciation to all of you for your
presence in Reinaldo's life.
Roberto
Reinaldo's nieces Ana and Laura also send this poem to Reinaldo, his
friends and his family on his memory. They both hope that CAMP WONDERFUL
is the place where Reinaldo is now:
CAMP WONDERFUL
(Special version by Ana and Laura from the original author Shel
Silverstein)
I'm going to Camp Wonderful
Beside Lake Paradise
Across from Blissful Mountain
In the Valley of the Nice.
They say it's sunny, cool and green,
They say the angels made it.
The motto is "Be Fair and Care."
We hope Reinaldo is there.
Dear Reinaldo, on behalf of your family and friends, be sure that we will
all always love you and remember you. GOD BLESS YOU.
Sincerely,
The Torres Orta Family
Words from his niece Laura:
I did not know Reinaldo that much but I did know that he was very special
to our family. When Daddy said that there were bad news, I did not really
expect his death. Daddy started to cry and I felt bad. If you are
listening, Reinaldo, I love you.
A message from Rev. Dr. Jay Steinberg, P.P., Phoenix, AZ; also known to us
by his honorary Apache-Sioux name, "Crow-Who-Flies-Like-An-Eagle":
My deepest love and blessings to you, Dear Diana, and to all gathered here
today to honor the memory and the spirit of our beloved brother in light,
Reinaldo Torres. I waited 16 years to meet Reinaldo and Diana in person at
the 2000 COTC Conference, and when Reinaldo and I finally hugged, no words
had to be said: the tears and years of service flowed freely. At the 2001
Conference, I bunked with Reinaldo. His breathing was very labored due to
the high altitude of the Colorado mountains, and in the half-hour it took
Diana and others to fetch him oxygen and dinner, I was alone with him for
a much-beloved sharing. We spoke of special and sacred things that
connected us on both personal and soul levels. Later, he slept
sporadically, sitting in a chair inhaling oxygen all night. Laying awake
and listening to him, I remember thinking: 'What incredible courage,
stamina, and loyalty to our beloved Church for him to travel all the way
from Florida! What an indomitable spirit!' I myself couldn't sleep either,
for one of the other two ministers in our bunk snored like a Hell's Angel.
So, halfway through the night, I got up, wrapped myself in a blanket, and
sat beside Reinaldo for a good two hours. We whispered, shared private
secrets and confessions, laughed, and cried, for I think we knew in our
hearts this would be the last time we would see each other in our mortal
bodies.
This Christmas morning, I was shown in prayers with Archangel Michael to
begin a 20-day vigil for Reinaldo. In tribal custom, the number 20 is the
number of the Creator, and passage of the person's spirit on the 20th day
of a vigil indicates a 'Divine Right Order' passage. Such a prayer vigil
is to be held daily at the birth time of the beholder (for me, 7am EST).
Dear Reinaldo made his transition precisely at the end of the 20-day
vigil. All of us in COTC then held a 72-hour transition vigil, during
which time I invited Reinaldo's spirit to come into my Dreamspace and
share anything he would like me to know or to share with you. On the early
morning of the third day, Reinaldo appeared to me in a dream in which he
was flying on the wings of a large eagle (the power bird of Sundance
Medicine Spirit). He shouted joyously to me:
"Jay, I've just been to Venezuela and flew back over the Yucatan where a
jaguar at Chichen Itza greeted you!" (This is very significant to me). He
added, "Tell Diana and everyone I can breathe effortlessly now, because I
am breathing the Light of God that never fails, and it is 'muy, muy
magnifico'!" I asked for further proof that this was indeed Reinaldo's
spirit, and his voice boomed out unhindered: "Layooesh Shekinah!-- Kodoish,
Kodoish, Kodoish, Adonai Tsebayoth!"
Dear friends, this dream makes my heart soar like an eagle, for it means
Reinaldo's liberated spirit will be a powerful ally on the other side for
us to move forward with God's speed. Embrace that affirmation with all of
your being as you remember Reinaldo, and you will honor his life, his
work, and his soul. Reinaldo, mi amigo, and to all of you:
"Vaya con Dios!"

Dear
COTC Ministers,
There is a beautiful gift for all of us in the passing of our dear
brother, Reinaldo Torres. And it is - to remember that the physical form
is but one possible expression in this amazing universe.
When I was with Reinaldo at the COTC Conference in September, I saw
regenesis taking place within him. Not physical regeneration, rather
rebirth into a new illuminated form. This is, of course, a perfectly
natural event. Letting go of the body is what we do when it is time to
move on to another expression.
Transitory and impermanent as the 3D body is, it is our ticket to
transcendence. Yes, it is the key to immortality and ascension. Not its
form but its function. The physical body is the density through which we
penetrate to enter our true state of being. Though it is the means to
transcendence and not the end in itself, we must take responsibility for
caring for the physical and not deny its importance. Yet not be distracted
by the melodramas of physical life and remain centered.
In other words, we need to be grounded and present in physicality, but not
lose sight of the fact that appearance is illusory and what is real is
presence. In this, we are always at one and never alone or separated.
Herein lies the challenge as human beings and as ministers serving our
communities.
Reinaldo was a wonderful teacher for the Keys of Enoch. In his transition
he can serve to help us recognize that the information presented in all
sacred literature has been channeled from an altered state of
consciousness.
Metaphysics, mythology and even science are tools for telling the same
universal stories and depicting archetypal themes that underlie our lives.
They point the way to truth, but are we willing to see the metaphors and
symbols and let go of literal interpretations and expectations?
Resurrection is everybody's true story. Christ is our real identity. We
are all Christed. Our true Christ-Buddha nature is within us. When we
release struggle and resistance, let peace be our intent and kindness our
way of life, then the light shines and love prevails.
With gratitude for Rev. Reinaldo Torres and all that he contributed to the
ministry, I send light, love and blessings.

Son, Father, Brother, Mate, Mentor, Friend, an Adversary of Darkness, and
Eternal Son of Light! Our Beloved Brother lived all the parts, and
through his example, Blessed and inspired us all.
On the clearest night or darkest day, look for a Bright Light pointing the
way home, a Beacon from the Heavens. Within it you will find Reinaldo
looking back at you. Ola!
On September 9, 2001, Our Beloved Brother was given formal recognition,
of who he was, with whom he worked, and what he was doing here on our
Beloved Planet Earth.
The following is direct quotation from the Certificate issued at the COTC
Third Annual Conference of Associates Ministers, a reminder for those of
us blessed to be present, and to share today. It speaks the true and rare
nature of our Colleague:
"EMPOWERED BY DIVINE AUTHORITY and through recognition of man's law, the

and its Affiliate Temple, Church Of The Creator®, hereby Resolves and

Democratic Healing and Sealing the Planes and Dimensions into One Unified
Body."
Reinaldo's work is not ended. Even here in this plane and dimension, it
will go on, through each of us. His legacy of seeds have well planted,
will live forever.
His everlasting life is begun anew without the wear, tear and pain, that
our physical bodies suffer during this unique program of Regenesis.
The loss felt today is on a very personal human level.
We remember booking tickets to Caracas Venezuela, 1980, to meet someone
special, unknown except by the name give to us by Dr. James J. Hurtak,
prior to our departure for work in Central and South America, over 22
years ago.
From the moment we met, and at each cherished occasions, in his home, with
his family, in person, on the phone, in the written work, tapes and most
recently via web tv, we found Joy, Laughter and Dedication in the common
understanding of Sacred Service, Love each unto the other, and our Holy
Parent.
Our sadness, is in the knowing, that we cannot add to the thousands of
moments that we shared, unique expressions of Love from this Blessed
man. Diana, and those working within Reinaldo's immediate
Physical/Spiritual Family, we will find him in you and you will find him
in us, for surely he understood and lived that truth.
Cherish those times you shared. Call on them now. Let Reinaldo participate
in your expressions of Love, for surely he is with us now and forever.
May he and we be Blessed this day in the 72 Sacred and Holy Names of God.
When spoken, for us, Reinaldo will always resonate and be present.
